Calm Before the Storm
High pressure will be in place today and tonight bringing calm and cool conditions to C'ville. However, Tuesday through early Thursday morning are a completely different monster. A very strong low pressure system will move just to our south. This will bring the chance for some rain on Tuesday and possible significant snow accumulations on Wednesday.
Tonight- Mostly clear skies becoming overcast, with westerly winds at 5 mph shifting to the north and becoming calm. Temperatures sinking into the mid 20s, with a low of 26.
Tomorrow- Cloudy skies, with calm northerly winds becoming easterly at 4-8 mph. Temperatures increasing to the mid 40s, with a high of 44. 50% chance of rain, with new precipitation amounts less than 0.1 inches.
Tomorrow Night- Overcast skies, with easterly winds becoming northerly at 6-11 mph. Temperatures dropping into the lower 30s, with a low of 31. 95% chance of precipitation, with rain turning to snow around 1 a.m. Snowfall accumulation between 4-6 inches possible.
Wednesday- Mostly cloudy skies, with northerly winds at 12-21 mph, and some gusts up to 30 mph. Temperatures rising to the upper 30s, with a high of 38. Snow continues, with a 80% chance of snow, and new accumulations less than 2 inches possible.
Wednesday night- Mostly clear skies, with temperatures falling into the lower 30s. Low of 31.
Thursday- Sunny skies, with temperatures rising to the upper 40s. High of 48.
