As the northeast prepares for a historic blizzard to hammer down on them, we in central virginia have nothing quite so fierce to be worried about this weekend. As a low passes to our east today, expect some light showers throughout the day. High pressure will build this weekend with clear skies and highs in the mid to upper 40's.
Tonight- Mostly clear skies, with northwesterly winds at 12-17 mph. Winds could get strong at times, with gusts up to 35 mph. Temperatures dropping into the upper 20s, with a low of 29.
Tomorrow- Sunny skies, with northwesterly winds at 7-16 mph. Temperatures rising to the mid 40s, with a high of 45.
Tomorrow Night- Clear skies, with northwesterly winds shifting to the north and becoming calm, at 0-3 mph. Temperatures sinking into the mid 20s, with a low of 24.
Sunday- Clear skies becoming cloudy in the early evening, with northerly winds shifting to the south at 2-6 mph. Temperatures increasing to the upper 40s, with a high of 49.
Sunday night- Overcast skies, with temperatures falling to the mid 30s. Low of 35. 50% chance of rain, with new precipitation amounts expected to be less than a tenth of an inch.
Monday- Cloudy skies, with temperatures warming to the lower 60s. High of 61. 50% chance of rain.
