Enjoy this second day off from classes, but be safe! Sandy is still a large storm, eventually moving north out of our region today. Expect breezy conditions all day with a few rain showers mixed in. It will be a chilly one as Canadian air has found its way into central Virginia. Things will get better going towards the weekend with partly cloudy skies and cool temperatures.
Tonight- A chance for showers that will begin to taper off throughout the night. Otherwise, mostly cloudy and temperatures plummeting to the upper 30s. Low around 38. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation 30%.
Tomorrow- Partly sunny skies with temperatures reaching the mid to upper 50s. High near 56. West wind 13 to 15 mph with gusts reaching up to 25 mph.
Tomorrow Night- Mostly cloudy with temperatures dropping to the upper 30s. Low around 38. Winds out of the southwest 6 to 16 mph.
Thursday- Partly sunny with temperature making it up to the mid to upper 50s. High 56. West wind 10 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph.
